End, Winter!

The cold and flu germs have hit our house in full force. Annie's coughing and Mom and Dad have sore throats and ears. I just want to spray Lysol on everything and throw open our windows to let some fresh air in! When I think back, it has been about 5 months since we had a day warm enough to open our windows. It got cold at the end of October and now it is the end of February. When will it end!?!? We might have to move in with Bubbe down in Florida!

Anne's trip to urgent care last week revealed she is up to 12 lbs, 15 oz. That is quite a jump for her--7 oz in just 2 weeks! We have discovered she hates rice cereal and cries when you try to feed it to her. She did eat some sweet potatoes last night and seemed to enjoy it. Her "I Love Grandpa" bib may be stained forever, though.

We'll try to get some new pictures up in the next day or two. Poor Auntie Erin is dying for some new material :)

4 Month Check-Up

Annie is happy and healthy, according to her pediatrician. She is doing all the things a baby her age should do. She's still a bit on the skinny side--her weight is fine for her age, but low for her height. No biggie, though. Here are the vitals from this appointment:

Weight: 12 lbs, 8 oz. (Sam was closest, guessing 12 lbs, 4 oz. I was way off--just optimistic, I guess)
Length: 24.75 inches (she's got a future in volleyball!)
Shots: 3 (She cried WAY worse than last time--Mom had to hold her and feel all her little muscles tense up when she started screaming)

New photos on the photo site, as well as a video of Anne eating cereal. She's not very good at it.

P.S.

New pictures coming soon!

Shameless plug

If you have nothing to do and want to surf the 'net a bit, here are some other blogs you can check out:

http://thethuentefamily.blogspot.com (my friend Sarah who is expecting her first baby in April)

http://gingermurrayphotography.blogspot.com (Ginger, my pal, who is a pro photographer)

http://ghsmediaarts.blogspot.com (My class at school--this is where they submit their photos for grading)

Annie heads to the doctor tomorrow. Time for more shots and the latest info on starting solid food! When guessing Annie's weight, be sure to factor in her head. We've had to retire a couple cute outfits because they don't fit over her head anymore! Her genius brain can hardly be contained!

Look out, world!

Annie is on the move! She made her first official step towards mobility on Saturday when she rolled over from her back to her tummy. Mom was so proud, and so glad to witness a milestone firsthand. Being a working mom inevitably means missing a "first" or two, so I was glad to see this one.

We are taking bets for Annie's weight at her 4-month check-up on Friday. Here's a recap:
Birth 9 lbs, 8 oz.
2 months 10 lbs, 8 oz.
3 months 11 lbs, 2 oz.

She's put on some weight for sure. My guess is 13 lbs, 5 oz.
