Opa loves to tease the kids. Yesterday he was showing them some animal tracks in his backyard and said, "I'm afraid there's a bear that comes to our yard." Anne quickly responded, "Opa, calm down. There is no bear in your yard"
Not 3 minutes later, as we were leaving their house, Anne said, "Mom, I'm worried. About the bear." I assured her that Opa was just teasing--no bears live near our house.
When we pulled into our garage she said, "Are you going to close the driveway? I don't want the bear to get in." At this point Sambo chimed in to add, "Yeah, if the bear eats our car, we would be so sad."
Never a dull moment with these two. I can only imagine how it will be when Cal can add his two cents.

You know, there IS a bear at Nana's house. We have to wrap all fish-related trash in zip-locked airtight Baggies and then wash the Baggies so they don't smell like anything. :)
Tonight we had an opossum and a barn cat squaring off over some cat food. During the day, the birds dive-bomb the cats (who seem to have invisible force fields).
I LOVE these stories, Corrie. Thanks for posting.
