Both kids seem to be saying adorable things each day, and I am not doing a very good job of writing them down!
Last night Sammy swallowed funny and got a piece of food in his throat. He worked it back up himself and I said "Are you okay?" He replied, "Uh-huh. Owie. Have some milk." and took a chug from his sippy cup.
One of my favorite "games" with my kids is to sing a song or read a book and leave out a word, then wait for the kid to fill it in. Last night Sammy impressed me by filling in all the gaps I left while singing "Jesus Loves Me" He even tries to sing--so cute!
His fave song, though, is the Wild Anthem. I have been singing him this song since day 1, and now he asks for it by saying "hockey song? hockey song!" until I give in. It is a very boy-appropriate lullaby, in my opinion :) He is very good at filling in words in this song, too. Listen to it here: http://youtu.be/nvxQa9Z7z6g
Our neighbors have a 3-year-old grandson named Landon who spends a lot of time at their house. Anne, being the social butterfly, always notices when he is outside and runs over to the edge of our yard to say "Hi". For some reason she has a hard time saying "Landon" and always says "Andalyn". Last night they were playing together and it was time for us to go in for supper. Anne said goodbye and Landon kept calling "Annie, come play with me" and she kept yelling back "Andalyn, I said 'after supper!'"
After church on Sunday Anne was with me in the kitchen and she started singing, "Savior, he can.....my God is mighty to save, he is mighty to save. Forever.......he conquered the grave, he conquered the grave!" I said "Did you sing that in church today?" (I was on nursery duty that morning). She said, "Yep, we sang 'Conquered the grave'" Turns out they didn't sing it that day, but we've sung it before and it stuck with her. It was so cute to hear!
Here's a link to the song I'm talking about, if you don't know it: http://youtu.be/pYqogpLpC5Q
