On her actual birthday, a Friday, Anne invited 5 friends over for a "Princess Playdate" I refrained from calling it a party and no gifts were brought--trust me, she had more than enough presents from family! The girls played, did a craft, ate pizza, and had pink brownies for dessert. Sam was at the RW football game and little Sam went to hang out with Oma and Opa. The girls had been in our house for about 10 minutes when I texted Sam and said, "We are never doing this again!" Things got a little wild, even for a seasoned teacher. We recovered, but it might be a few years before we venture into party territory again :)
