Ice Skating

Our local rink had a rare day of open skating at the end of September.  Opa was nice enough to come with us, and Oma watched Cal so we could help Anne and Sammy around the ice.

Story to Remember: Anne and I were in the locker room taking off our skates.  A group of young boys (2nd/3rd grade) were getting dressed for hockey practice.  There was a poster on the wall demonstrating "Getting Dressed for Hockey" and showed the order in which to put on the equipment.  One little boy said, "Hey, what about your cup?  What if you get hit in the nuts?"  Every adult eye in the room shot over to my little daughter, who was (thankfully) unaware of the conversation.  Hopefully, in a few years, it won't be one of my sons shouting about his nuts...
