Skating with Opa

Anne and Sam were the only kids at daycare on Friday, so they got a special trip to the arena for their first ice skating.  We bought skates for both kids way back in December, but this has not been the best winter for skating!  Indoor open skating only happens during the mid-morning hours on weekdays (huh?) and our outdoor rink has either been too warm and melty or way too cold for small children.  We were very grateful to Oma and Opa who bundled up the kids and took them out on Friday.

Anne had a great time and did pretty well on her skates.  Sambo had fun being in the arena but he never quite got his legs under him...let's remember that he's only 2 years old :)
